Ultrasonic Flowmeters

Ultrasonic flow meters are well known for providing fairly accurate readings without being intrusive into the pipe. At Controls Warehouse, we are proud to offer these high tech flow meters from a variety of top manufacturers; such as Badger Meter (Dynasonics® brand) and Great Plains Industries (GPI®, Flomec®). The two types of ultrasonic meters we offer are Transit-time, which measures clean liquids only, and Doppler, which requires continuous suspended solids in the fluid. Both types are available in dedicated or portable styles either being powered externally or by onboard batteries. Ultrasonic flow meters measure the difference of the transit time of ultrasonic pulses propagating in and against flow direction. This time difference is a measure for the average velocity of the fluid along the path of the ultrasonic beam.
